What is CONTACT

CONTACT is a unique interdisciplinary conference which brings together some of the foremost
international social and space scientists, science fiction writers and artists to exchange ideas,
stimulate new perspectives and encourage serious, creative speculation about humanity’s future
… onworld and offworld.

CONTACT at ORYCON

CONTACT will be hosting a series of panels throughout Orycon weekend, including a tesla coil demonstration, and the unique, immersive experience Cultures of the Imagination.

What’s COTI?

Cultures Of The Imagination (COTI) is an experiment in creation. Participants break into two
teams. Team One designs an integrated world, alien and its way of life. Team Two designs a
different integrated world, alien and its way of life.

On Sunday, the teams meet to roleplay first contact between the two species.
